UW-River Falls Falcon forward Shane Manor (Sr.-Altoona/WI) scored 57 points facing WIAC opponents this week and is the WWS choice for WIAC mens basketball player of the week.
Manor poured in 26 points at Bennett Court in Stevens Point in a 82-75 Falcon road-win over #11 ranked UW-SP on Saturday (1/21). The victory snapped a Pointer 29-game home winning streak.
Manor, ranked third in the WIAC in scoring (18.3 ppg), converted 6-of 11 shots from the field and was 14-of-15 from the charity line.
He recorded a team-high 9 rebounds, adding to his season totals (101), ranked eighth in the conference.
Manor had 3 assists and 1 blocked shot in the contest, playing for thirty-seven minutes.
On Wednesday (1/18) facing powerhouse UW-Superior at Mertz Mortorelli Gym Manor registered a game-high 31 points but the visiting Falcons come up short on the scoreboard, falling 85-82 to the Yellowjackets in a close played contest.
Manor converted 13-of-18 (.722) shot attempts and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.
In 2011 Manor was voted Newcomer of the Year and was an All-WIAC selection.
