In other Wisc basketball news: Former Eau Claire-Regis Ramblers girls basketball Head Coach, Jim Negrini, passed away on Saturday (2/10) at 78 years of age.

Negrini, a member of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association WBCA Hall of Fame, compiled a 210-61 career record, winning 6 conference Championships with 2 State titles, also mentoring the Ramblers to a Sectional title in 2014. He retired from coaching in 2015.

Evergreen Funeral Home will be holding a 'Celebration of Life' event at 11:00am on Sat. Feb. 17 -  visitation 5:00pm -7:00pm. Thoughts and prayers to Coach Negrini's family and friends.

MLB - free agent RHP/ Yu Darvish, age 31, inked 6-yr. 126M deal with the Chicago Cubs on Monday. Not too shabby of a contract for Darvish, who lost both games he pitched in the 2017 World Series (LA Dodgers), allowing 8 runs, including Game 7: five earned runs in 2 innings of work. The Houston Astros win Game 7, 5-1, and the series.

YU has been one of the biggest names in baseball (career 56-42, 3.42 ERA) with over 1,000k's. Milwaukee will see Darvish many times over the course of a season because, unfortunately, he is now a Brewers division rival.
