NFL - Green Bay Packers host 'Project Play 60' - a free community event to encourage children to get off-the-couch and engage in physical activity - Saturday, March 17th - 9:00am - 3:00pm at the Lambeau Field Atrium / Legends Club in Green Bay, WI.

 Activities planned include wall climbing, bungee trampolines, face painting, inflatables and ninja-style obstacle course. Free admission (and parking) for all participants.

In other basketball news: NCAA - Woody Durham, age 76, the voice of North Carolina (Tar Heel) athletics (basketball / football) for forty years, passed away today (3/7) after a battle with progressive aphasia (stroke). Durham, who retired in 2012, will be inducted into the National Sports Media Association's Hall of Fame in June.

UW-Stout Blue Devil Shaquilla Payne (Fr.-Tallahassee/FL) wins WIAC vault title, tying school record with a score of  9.80 at Gustavus Adolphus College on Sunday (3/4) also earning All-Conference honors. WWS  file pic

The vault score ties the Blue Devil all-time mark previously set by Kaylee Jondahl (2016). Complete meet results

The NCGA D-III Team and All-Around Championships are being held at Springfield, Mass. on Friday, March 23, with individual events scheduled for Saturday, March 24.

UW-Eau Claire Blugolds (18-6-4) face at-large Gustavus Adolphus (20-3-4) in D-III tournament on Friday, Mar. 9 in 1st round of playoffs at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St Paul, MN.
Updated 3/11: The 'Golds were upended 3-2 by Hamline (Pipers) in the 2nd round on Saturday after winning in OT (3-2) over the Gusties on Friday.
